Let's start with a few things that happened at the end of last year. We enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving with Hector's family. It was a relaxing day with good food (just as a holiday should be). In the weeks to follow, Hector and the kids were able to visit with extended family, enjoying more good food and lots of laughs. It is such a joy to see the kids getting to know their great Aunt's and cousins. Lilly is still calling Hector's grandmother, "Aunt Nani", but we are getting there.
While the 3 of them were on vacation from school, I was busy at work. The holidays are, of course, the busiest time of the year in the world of retail. I am thrilled that things are settling down, everyone's back in school and I am back to my old routine.
Below is a short slideshow of our pre-Christmas activities. Southern California got drenched in floods this Winter, so the kids were able to put some of their Boston gear to good use. It became common practice, when returning home from an activity, to head outside to play in the puddles, come inside, take a warm bath and then finish the afternoon off with a steamy cup of hot cocoa. As long as it is above freezing with no snow, we are one happy family!
